Types of Warranties
Manufacturer Warranty
Provided by the brand. Covers manufacturing defects (parts failing prematurely) for typically 1-2 years. Does NOT cover user damage, misuse, or normal wear.
Seller Guarantee
Separate from manufacturer warranty. Amazon A-to-Z guarantee or eBay seller protection covers non-delivery, misrepresentation, and item-not-as-described for 30-60 days.
Extended Warranty
Optional insurance plan. Covers accidents and wear beyond manufacturer warranty. Evaluate: product reliability data, cost vs. replacement price, seller financial stability.
When Extended Warranties Make Sense
